Troubleshooting and Common Issues

Find quick solutions to common problems with login, search, document generation, and dashboard performance.

Overview: 

This section provides quick solutions to the most common issues users may encounter on Bids Advantage. Most problems can be resolved by refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or confirming you are signed in to the correct account. 


Login and Account Access: 

  • Can’t sign in: Double-check your email and password. If still unable to log in, use Forgot Password to reset your credentials. 

  • Pending approval: Newly created accounts require admin approval. You’ll receive an email once your account is activated. 

  • Social login not working: Ensure pop-ups are allowed in your browser and retry the sign-in process. 

  • Session expired: Log out and sign back in to refresh your session. 


Dashboard and Navigation: 

  • Blank Dashboard: Wait a few seconds after login; content loads dynamically. 

  • Navigation bar missing: Refresh the page. If persistent, clear browser cache and reopen the site. 

  • Buttons not responding: Check your internet connection or try a different browser tab. 


Search and Filtering: 

  • No results found: Simplify your query or remove filters, such as date or value limits. 

  • Search takes too long: Complex natural language queries may require extra processing time. Wait 10–20 seconds before retrying. 

  • Incorrect results: The natural language model interprets intent; rephrase using clearer wording such as “contracts in Alberta over 1M.” 


Map and Contract View: 

  • Map not loading: Wait for contract data to finish syncing or reload the Dashboard. 

  • Markers missing: Try zooming out or removing filters to view additional regions. 

  • Contract popup not opening: Click once and allow time for data to load; avoid double-clicking rapidly. AI Document Generation: • Stuck on “Yodo is thinking...” Wait up to 35 seconds for completion. If it persists, refresh and retry. 

  • No document downloaded: Ensure the file has finished generating before selecting a download option. 

  • Formatting issues: Open the file in Word or Google Docs and adjust spacing manually if needed. 

  • Draft missing after generation: Refresh the My Drafts page. The draft will sync automatically to your account within moments. 


Performance and Display: 

  • Slow page load: Close unused tabs or try a private/incognito window to reduce cache load. 

  • Image or text misalignment: Resize the browser window or refresh; the layout adjusts dynamically. 

  • Browser compatibility: Use an up-to-date version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox for best performance.
